Eat, sleep, play

Who wouldn't want to be a cat? Striker and my resident cats are getting along just fine. Striker found that his favorite toy is a cloth ball with feathers stuck in it. He can play with that for a long time, throwing it in the air and catching it or pouncing on it. Early on he did think that this game was fun in the middle of the night on the bed, but he doesn't do that anymore (at least he doesn't wake us up if he does).

Here is Striker, on the right, next to one of my cats. Awwwww!

I think Striker would be great in a home with resident cats, and I think he'd be fine on his own. He's very social and does seem to warm up to people quicker than most cats.

Striker Meets the Resident Cats

I've slowly been introducing Striker to my four resident cats. There has been some hissing and growling -- mostly from my cats -- but most of the time they just ignore each other. Striker doesn't seem to be bothered by my cats. I don't know if they'll start playing with each other, but at least Striker can have the run of the house.

Sweet Striker

Striker is really a sweet kitty. After he explores his room, he's ready to settle down next to me -- or on me -- and be petted. He really seems to be a cat that wants to be near his people. He's not too crazy about being picked up and carried, but he'll follow you wherever you go.

Striker

Striker came home with me yesterday, and he's still getting used to his new surroundings. He seems to be a very lovable cat -- he really wants me to pet him. His black fur is velvety soft -- how can you not want to pet him? And he has the most wonderful purr, too.
